Goderdzi sits near the Goderdzi Pass in the mountains of Adjara. It is one of Georgia's newest ski resorts, known for deep snow and quiet slopes.

The drive from Batumi follows the Adjaristskali river up through the highlands, past villages, mosques and old arched stone bridges. With a car you can stop at the waterfalls and bridges on the way, and in summer carry on over the pass.

From Batumi the road follows the river valley inland, then climbs hard in the last stretch to the resort. It is a mountain road all the way, so the time matters more than the distance.
