Key Highlights

Rental terms and coverage options

The terms that decide what a rental costs you — and what happens if something goes wrong.

  1. Deposit Shown Before You Book

    Per car

The deposit is set by each car's owner, not by Trentro. Every listing shows whether one is required and exactly how much, before you book — and a number of cars ask for none at all. It is collected at pickup, is not part of the rental total, and is returned in full when the car comes back undamaged.

  2. Personal Accident Insurance

    Optional

Cover for medical expenses if you are injured in an accident during your rental. Available as an optional add-on — you choose it during booking, and the price for the car you have picked is shown before you pay.

  3. Third-Party Liability

Protects you from financial liability for damage caused to third parties or their property. It is part of the coverage options offered on each car, not a separate inclusion — check the option you select for its limits.

  4. Theft Protection

Financial protection if the rental vehicle is stolen. Available as an optional add-on, with the price shown on the car's booking page.

  5. Vehicle Damage Coverage

Covers damage to the rental vehicle itself, with the exception of damage to windows, mirrors, tires, and underbody. How much of the remaining damage you are liable for depends on the coverage tier you choose at booking.

  6. Age Requirement

Drivers must be at least 21 years old.

  7. Driving Experience

A minimum of 2 years of valid driving experience is required.

Important Coverage Exceptions

Please note that our vehicle damage coverage does not include damage to windows, mirrors, tires, and underbody. Renters are responsible for any damages to these components.

Tip: Always inspect these components before and after your rental period.

  2. Cancelled less than 24 hours before pickup: refund of the prepayment minus the first day's rental rate (excluding insurance and fees)

  3. Some listings are non-refundable by the host's choice. This is shown on the car's page before you pay, and the prepayment for those bookings is not refunded.

Commission Policy

For Renters

Trentro.com is a platform that lists vehicles from both the company and independent partner lessors. When a booking and rental is completed through the platform, Trentro.com charges the partner lessor a service commission equal to 15% of the vehicle's rental price.

This commission is already included in the prices published on the website and is not an additional charge for the customer.

For Car Owners

By listing a vehicle on the Trentro.com platform, the partner confirms that for every successfully completed rental the company is entitled to a commission equal to 15% of the total rental value.

The commission covers vehicle advertising, use of the online booking system, customer service, marketing activities, and the platform's technical support.

The partner receives 85% of the rental amount, while 15% is Trentro.com's commission.

Do I need an international driving license to rent a car in Georgia?

If your driving license is issued in a country that uses the Latin or Georgian alphabet, you can drive in Georgia with your national license — no international driving permit (IDP) is required. This covers most EU, UK, US, Canadian, and Israeli license holders. If your license uses a non-Latin script (e.g. Arabic, Chinese, Cyrillic), you will need an IDP alongside your national license.

Is insurance included in the rental price?

No. Insurance is not included in the rental price. Each vehicle comes with its own coverage options, set by the car's owner, and you choose one during booking. The daily price of each option — and what it does and does not cover — is shown next to it before you pay. Cover generally excludes glass and wheel damage, and lower tiers leave you responsible for part of the cost of accident damage.

What is the security deposit and how does it work?

Each car's owner sets their own deposit, so it varies from listing to listing and a number of cars ask for none at all. Whether a deposit is required, and exactly how much, is shown on the car's page before you book — it is never added later. The deposit is collected at pickup, is not part of the rental total, and is returned in full when you return the car undamaged.

Can I cancel my booking for free?

Yes — see our Cancellation and Refund Policy above for the full terms.

Where can I pick up my rental car?

You can pick up your car in any city in Georgia, at any location you choose — the airport, your hotel, your home or anywhere else. See our Vehicle Handover and Return Terms above for the full process.

Can I drive the rental car outside of Georgia?

No. All Trentro rentals are strictly for use within Georgia only. Cross-border driving into Armenia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, or any other neighboring country is not permitted. Insurance coverage is valid only within Georgian territory.

What documents do I need to rent a car?

You need a valid driving license (issued at least 1 year ago), a passport or national ID, and a contact phone number. A credit or debit card is required for the security deposit. If your license is in a non-Latin script, bring an International Driving Permit.

How do I book a car on trentro.com?

Booking takes under 2 minutes. Browse the fleet at trentro.com, select your dates and location, choose a vehicle, and complete checkout online. No account required — guest checkout is available. For custom requests reach us via WhatsApp or Telegram at +995 555 99 57 99.

What types of vehicles are available?

Trentro's fleet covers every category: economy sedans and hybrids (Toyota Prius, Toyota Camry, Mitsubishi Lancer, Chevrolet Cruze), crossovers and SUVs (Subaru Crosstrek, Subaru Outback, Jeep Renegade, Mitsubishi Outlander), vans (Kia Sedona, Dodge Grand Caravan), convertibles (Ford Mustang, BMW 428) and luxury cars (BMW X5, Porsche Macan, Porsche Panamera, Ferrari 296 GTB). Current prices are shown on each listing. All cars are regularly maintained and cleaned before each rental.

Is 24/7 support available?

Yes. Our multilingual support team is available 24/7 via WhatsApp, Telegram, and phone at +995 555 99 57 99. We typically respond within minutes. Support is available in English, Georgian, Russian, Turkish, and Hebrew.

What makes Trentro different from traditional car rental companies?

Trentro is a peer-to-peer car rental marketplace — you rent directly from verified local car owners, not a corporate fleet. This means more personal service, flexible arrangements, and competitive pricing. Every owner is vetted, and every car lists its own insurance options for you to choose from at booking.
